Hey, cameron and other disappointed parkour movie fans. The retardation and lameness needs to be directed at me, not Matt. I am the reason this didn't happen for you guys, and I'm sorry. Please don't put this on anyone else (Matt, Logan, etc.).

That's the nutshell; here are the gory details:

1) two weeks ago, the marketing rep for the movie gets my contact info from Matt
2) last week, she sends me the PDFs for the passes; I ask her how many we can use, and she says as many as we print out.
2.1) I get massively sick with flu and can barely walk for a couple days. Access to a printer, handing out the passes, etc. are obviously not going to happen.
3) On the phone with Matt and Shae, I apologize for not being able to handle the passes in my condition. I try to make arrangements for them to handle my responsibility, but it's all pretty last minute and it obviously didn't work out.

I'll repeat here: This is my fault.

For his part, Matt said he'd be glad to make the announcement about the passes on TXPK. I wasn't thinking ahead to what kind of announcement he'd make (I wasn't thinking about much of anything beyond sleeping). That led to some wrong expectations.

So it's last-minute miscommunication, all starting with me. Thank you, Logan, for doing your best to cover for something you didn't know about.

If anyone wants to follow up on this (i.e. kick my ass), feel free to let me know. I'll be at Tranq next Saturday, at the workshop event.

This is sadly a very common recurrence that continues to happen with this "volunteer organization" and this continues to give the organization a bad name, no matter how valid the excuse is/was..(which it was very valid) It is just sad that the organization continues to let ITSELF down...over and over again. I can not blame individuals on this...I would have to blame the whole.

I've very interested in this class. I live in
the bastrop/cedar creek area, so it would be a
easy 30min drive for me to attend.

I'm rather a new guy to Parkour, found out about it while writing an essay, on Ninjas. I would be very interesting in classes that are located in South Austin, as I am having a rather difficult time getting started on my own.

Possible Goodies at Fort Worth Workshop PDF Print E-mail
Written by Matthew Willis
Wednesday, 13 January 2010 14:13

I have been contacted by Magnolia Films and they are hoping to send out some goodies for us at the FMU workshop (January 16th).  So if you and come to the workshop and donate, get ready for some give aways!

DISTRICT 13: ULTIMATUM
jumping into action at a theater near you

Can't wait to see the explosive sequel to the action hit DISTRICT B13?  Never fear, because Magnet Releasing is bringing DISTRICT 13: ULTIMATUM to a theater near you this February.

Two years have passed since elite police officer Damien Tomasso (Cyril Raffaelli) teamed up with reformed vigilante Leito (parkour originator David Belle) to save the notorious District 13, a racially charged ghetto populated by violent drug dealing gangs and vicious killers. Despite government promises to maintain order, the state of the district has deteriorated, and a group of corrupt cops and elected officials are conspiring to cause civil unrest in D13, looking for an excuse to raze the area and cash in on its redevelopment. Now Damian and Leito must join forces again, and use their mastery of martial arts and their unique physical skills to bring peace to the neighborhood by any means necessary. before a proposed nuclear air-strike wipes it off the map. With bone crunching fights and death defying leaps, this adrenaline charged sequel takes the groundbreaking parkour action from District B13 to thrilling new heights.

Run, jump, dive, or fly - just don't walk - to see the film in theaters on February 7.

ISTRICT 13: ULTIMATUM is coming at ya!

Pardon our French Parkour Bad Boys...
* Check out the film trailer
* See dates and theaters for the film
